SmithGroupJJR located in Los Angeles, CA is a tenant improvement of a steel commercial office project valued at $1.7 M. The project totals 10,602 SF throughout one floor of a LEED Platinum Certified high-rise building.
SmithGroupJJR is one of the largest architecture, engineering and planning firms in the U.S. Their new office brings the firm’s current branding and workplace of the future initiative to the LA market. The project focuses on core branding elements combined with an LA aesthetic. Key to the design is deconstruction of the office into a place for community and collaboration that supports a multi-generational staff with varying work styles, flexibility and mobility, for current and future technology, and places to foster spontaneous collaboration and socialization between staff members of different project teams. Multi-purpose collaborative and live-work spaces give employees flexibility to work anywhere, any time, without being tethered to their workstation. Design features of the office include a living wall, exposed structure ceilings, a ModularArts feature wall, LightArt fixtures that weave through and unite different spaces and magnetic glass wall boards to feature work and provide spaces for spontaneous collaboration.
Keeping with the sustainability goals of the company, the project is LEED v4 ID+C Silver Certified.
